So I spent Friday and Saturday at the New York City Comic Con. It was a total blast and the good times were many, but the highlight had to be when Master Chief and I performed some impromptu crowd control. Here we are about to storm into action.

Good Lord, we kicked a ton of ass that night.

My new second favorite comic book series is Casanova by Matt Fraction and Gabriel Ba. I just read the first trade paperback, and it totally blew me away. Ba's artwork is Mignola-esque (but I like him better than Mignola), and he uses GREEN tones. Who does that?!? He might be my new favorite artist.

The story is kind of a mess, but it's an intricately constructed mess, so it doesn't bother me. Plus, you can enjoy the the basics of the plot on one level, and then you can read it again and enjoy all the subtleties and references. I'm looking forward to reading it again.

Actor Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad, Arrested Development) is in final negotiations to star in the big-screen adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life.

The Universal film, titled Scott Pilgrim’s Little Life – I don’t know why Precious was dropped — is directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) from a script he wrote with Michael Bacall (Bookies).

The studio hopes to start production in the fall.

The Scott Pilgrim series is, like, my favorite comic book series of all time. And Michael Cera is a total pimp. This totally rules.

I want to draw a graphic novel adaptation of There Will Be Blood. I love that f---ing movie.
