Superman by CaptainSloth Superman by CaptainSloth
My "Superman" entry for the new Kubert student sketch blog "The Badass Zone" [link]
I chose the topic for our first sketch challenge.

My first thought after I chose Superman for the topic was: lace-up boots. Then I decided to draw a Superman design without referencing ANY other Supermans.

After finishing this, I figured the guy looked too young, so I came up with the story that he is a goverment-engineered Superman to combat the original Superman. The original Superman has gone rogue, and the government has used his DNA to create someone to find him.

Also, he keeps a "kripto-knife" in his thigh sheath to kill Superman when he finally finds him.

this is cool! I was checking out the blog and everything looks pretty sweet, but I have a hard time figuring out who did which one...maybe when people upload stuff they should say who they are. Like Maz...I saw his name at the bottom of the piece but I could only tell it was his because I can recognize his style and his signature. I like the colors you chose for the Supes suit.

Thanks dude! At the bottom of the post, it says "Posted by NAME", but unfortunately it's in a faded gray text. I titled mine "Superman by Joe Bowen", so hopefully others will see my example. If others have a hard time telling who's who, I'll send an email to everyone to title their art with their names.
